Premiere at tradeshow Tranoi in Paris: One of the Absence designers is wearing a pair of ankleboots of their very first collection. The “Mudguards”-Booties are made from burnished goatskin.
Abcense is a brand new footwear-label based in Tapei, Taiwan. For their debut-collection the designers Jhousan and Yoyo found inspiration in random things: “math problems”, “the shapes of mosquito bites” and the “right paw ot the brand’s orange cat” called Peek. The beautiful result: 30 different shoe- models. Pumps, flats, booties and sandals that look like architecture for your feet.
Entdeckt auf der Tranoi in Paris: Das Design-Duo Absence aus Taiwan macht Skulpturen für die Füße. So sehen ihre Kreationen aus.. Ihre Schuhe sehen aus wie Architektur für die Füße, sind schön schlicht und trotzdem auffällig: Hinter dem neuen Schuhlabel “Abcense” stehen die taiwanesischen Designer Jhousan und Yoyo. In Tapei haben sie eine erste Schuhkollektion für den Frühling 2014 entworfen. Ihre Inspirationen klingen zunächst recht abstrakt: “Mathe-Probleme”, “Moskito-Stiche” und die “rechte Pfote von Katze Peek”– das Haustier der Designer. 30 verschiedene Modelle sind das Ergebnis. Darunter Pumps, Booties, flache Schuhe und Sandalen. Am elegantesten sind die flachen Modelle.
